Registration Update It is essential for organisations not yet registered to use the portal to ACT NOW. Live portal address - https://www.rapidclaimsettlement.org.uk. Claimant lawyers, insurers and compensators have worked in collaboration to develop and implement an electronic portal to support the processes agreed in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice to enable faster agreement on liability and payment of low cost RTA injury claims (between £1,000 - £10,000). Previously Insurers had between 60-90 days to accept or deny liability for such personal injury claims – under this new regulations the timeframe has been reduced to just 15 days. It is anticipated that this enhanced process will encompass the majority of all motor personal injury claims - affecting as many as 500,000 individuals. The portal provides the swift, electronic exchange of all relevant claim information and related documentation - including medical records - between lawyers and insurers/compensators and enables key decisions to be communicated quickly and reduce duplication. Such streamlined flow of information on both liability and quantum between parties will help reduce operational costs and enable the insurer/compensator to agree settlement more swiftly.
